Interview with director Timmy Osoba

Welcome Mr Osoba, we are very excited to have you today and discuss about your work. Who is Timmy Osoba and how did his passion for filmmaking start?

My name is Timmy Osoba, I'm a filmmaker and and actor, I began my career in college, yes I went to school for filmmaking and I graduated from Columbia college Chicago. In 2011. But before then I made a short film called Back To Life' which I was supposed to submit to film festivals but I ended up going to California instead  my mother.

Can you tell us about your previous work?

Yes I can. When I came to Atlanta Georgia in 2015, I then started working on some more films. My first short film that I shot in Atlanta Georgia was called Homeless Man,  then I made Kidnapped and then I made the film Secrets '.

CONVERSATION ABOUT: Kidnapped

What inspired this original script?

I just write what I know, people say if you dream something, just write your dream down on the paper, that's not me. I dream yes! But this idea came to me thinking, when I write. I start thinking of my next project. Then when I think of my next project I always start writing the idea down. Concerning this idea it came to me when I was writing another project...

How much did this shooting last?  Did any shenanigans occur behind the scenes ?

The shooting of the film Kidnapped lasted for three days. Yes I said it. It lasted three days, and we enjoyed those three days of shooting. No, there was no shenanigans on set we just went straight through shooting, we very much enjoyed every moment of the shooting, all the three days.

Does the scenario have an importance to you on a personal level ?

Yes, but sometimes. I also try to add some scenarios into my films. That's if they are important.

How was the atmosphere selected ?

Do you mean the Atmosphere for the film?  I hire people to pick or select the atmosphere for me. I try to go with the flow when I'm picking an atmosphere..

FUTURE WORK AND CLOSING LETTER

What is the target audience of your project ?

I try to find an audience that can relate to the subjects of my films. Not all audiences can relate. It also depends on what story and content I put out, if I write a story and the audience can't relate then that means in my next project I'll do better.

What is the message the audience should convey leaving the screening of your film ?

I want the audience to be happy when they see the film Kidnapped, that means if they are clued to see it then I know that they are happy, that's what I want from the audience.

Any future projects incoming ? Along with personal aspirations.

Yes, I have a couple of projects in the works, both short films and feature films which I'm directing and acting in them too. And I'm also in the process of starting to putting together my production company, Timsta pictures. And I'm doing music videos under my company.
