Review for MAJOR FARTUNESCU AND THE MISADVENTURES OF DEPARTMENT 13

Yuri Stytskovsky’s film “Major Fartunescu and the misadventures of department 13” is a humour filled film worthy of binge watching. The performances took us by surprise, every role is well thought and perfectly paired with the selected actor. The editing is impeccable, it truly showcases talent and originality while at the same time it camouflages potential errors and holes in the plot. Smart, fast and very snappy, providing a well thought scenario, with clever punchlines and a quick pace. Although this helps to keep the overall action flowing it may cause some structuring confusion with its comic-like quick pacing.

Yuri Stytskovsky had us faced with an amusing film that brings us back with its vintage feel without losing its promising future-proof character.
