Review for VOID

VOID is the feature film of young director Vaibhav Gattani. We are witnesses to the experimental journey of Rhea and her struggle with infertility. As she is unable to conceive, her willingness forces her to risky supernatural alternatives. Every frame is crafted with care, the main actors play their roles successfully but some back up actors distract you as they deliver their lines forcefully. The dark grey undertone creates a cold atmosphere that suits the strict directing style. The main issue of this feature is its terrible pacing as scenes tend to drag way too long without any action or dramatization in some key scenes. Although the script is well written the combination of the pace does not do any justice to it. Moving on to the technical aspects we have considered the sound design and cinematography to be all around great. Vaibhav Gattani has nothing to be afraid for as this is a great film, we would like him to welcome this constructive criticism and create more plot driven films in the future. Because timing is everything in a film. Overall a very optimistic project that will keep us wanting for more.
