Review for MUSE

MUSE, emotional, maleficent and very entertaining! Young director Hugo Andres and producer Anna Barrowman deliver an outstanding thriller short. We are witnesses in the creation process of mysterious world famous painter Maya Madley. After the introduction the film changes tone instantly and we can feel something evil underneath. The atmosphere, lighting and cinematography are all around perfect. There are some questionable editing choices especially in scenes that do not need extra cuts. This minor problem is surpassed by the astonishing performance of the protagonist. The original score is a fine wine that accompanies this film throughout.

Although the structure of the film keeps the audience on the edge of its seat, there is a length
issue as this film could have been approximately 5 minutes shorter as it provides a lot of dead air moments and timing is everything for a short film. This is such a passion project from the whole crew and it's obvious as the production value and care are impressive. We want to share this amazing work and congratulate the whole team as this is such an optimistic step to a big audiovisual career. We want more !
