Review for ‘‘After You’’ by Federica Alice Carlino

''AFTER YOU'' is a short art film about toxic relationships in a very abstract manner.  Federica Alice Carlino showcases some very creative shots accompanied by great editing and atmosphere. The sound selection fits the eerie, bittersweet atmosphere that climaxes at a twisting ending. The cinematography and make up department leave a lot to be desired as it is obvious that some potential was lost there. The actors deliver a great performance and no matter the short length of this film their chemistry works. Props to the great poster design. The structure of this short feels organic as we are taken from point A to point B with calmness and fluidity. We are ready to see director Federica Alice Carlino take on the next step and produce a narrative short in the near future.
